The Small Business Administration has approved Gov. Mike DeWine’s request for a disaster declaration for flooding that impacted Fairfield County in late July.

The declaration makes low-interest loans available to impacted homes and businesses that sustained uninsured losses of 40 percent or more of the estimated fair replacement value. Businesses and residents of Fairfield County, as well as the adjacent counties of Franklin, Hocking, Licking, Perry and Pickaway, are eligible to apply for Business Physical Disaster Loans, Economic Injury Disaster Loans and Home Disaster Loans.

The application filing deadline for physical damage is Nov. 12; the deadline for economic damage is June 12, 2026.

Applications for disaster loans may be submitted online using the MySBA Loan Portal at lending.sba.gov/ or at other locally announced locations. Further assistance is available from SBA’s Customer Service Center by email at disastercustomerservice@sba.gov or by phone at 1-800-659-2955.
