Red Roof executives at the economy lodging headquarters in the Brewery District are celebrating the company’s continued growth and success at the announcement of the brand’s 500th Red Roof Inn & Suites.
The company announced the new Biloxi, Miss. location is a testament to the company’s efforts to “cultivate a deep understanding of travelers’ needs and desires throughout the United States and international markets in Canada, Brazil, Thailand and Japan.”
“To hit this achievement and robust development, says a lot about who we are and the quality of the product we offer to travelers across the country,” Red Roof Chief Development Officer Phil Hugh said in a prepared statement. “Red Roof has become the economy choice for consumers who want clean, safe rooms, and renovated properties with all the comforts of home.”
He added the brand’s name recognition, positive reputation and value proposition have aided in the company’s continued profitability.
The milestone has occurred in conjunction with the opening of the brand’s 50th Red Roof PLUS+ property in Irondale, Ala., the announcement detailed. The PLUS+ brand is an enhanced upscale economy offering at a value price.
“The announcement of our 500th Inn and the 50th PLUS+ property in the same year, is significant and quite an accomplishment,” Red Roof President Andrew Alexander said. “Our attention to guest needs and wants, investment in renovations … and continued commitment to enhanced offerings have driven franchise interest as well as bookings and stays.

To further mark the occasion, the company is extending its gratitude to existing and new members of its RediCard loyalty program with 500 RediCard bonus points on hotel stays through Feb. 28.
