Woman who failed to alert police of her husband's sexual abuse of her daughter loses appeal

In the 5th District Court of Appeals, a panel of three judges recently affirmed a child endangering conviction out of Stark County.

The defendant, Tracella Hall, appealed from the Stark County Court of Common Pleas, where she was tried for remaining silent despite being aware that her husband, Vincent Hill, was sexually abusing her minor daughter, E.C. Vincent was E.C.’s stepfather.

Hill was found guilty of the charge by a jury in 2015 and the trial court sentenced her to 180 days in jail.
