A man who pleaded guilty to attempted murder in the Clark County Court of Common Pleas and then challenged the maximum sentence he received recently lost his appeal for a shorter prison term.

In an opinion authored by Judge Jeffrey Welbaum, the 2nd District Court of Appeals ruled that the defendant, Robert Walden, was properly sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment due to a record that indicated the trial court made all required findings before imposing a sanction.

The charges against Walden stemmed from a domestic dispute, according to a bill of particulars.
