Bill would create database to track how the state spends its money

The backers of a bill that would establish a state government expenditure database have said transparency is a good government issue, not a partisan issue.

“Ohio is continually ranked as one of the least transparent states in the nation when it comes to providing taxpayers with relevant, easily-accessible information on state spending,” said Rep. Mike Dovilla. “Ohio taxpayers deserve to know what their money is being spent on and where their money is being spent.”
