ACLU, Attorneys Association offer opposing views on drone bill

While the Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association has dismissed House Bill 207 as an “overreaction to an issue that has yet to become a significant problem,” the ACLU of Ohio has backed the drone regulation proposal.

“HB 207 is undeniably important legislation,” said Gary Daniels, ACLU of Ohio associate director. “It is not anti-drone, anti-technology or anti-law enforcement. Rather, it wisely recognizes having zero statewide restrictions on drones — the current state of affairs — is a recipe for future disaster.”
