Court rules man who robbed, shot brothers must serve post-release control

The 10th District Court of Appeals recently ordered a trial court to hold a resentencing hearing and properly impose post-release control for a man convicted of robbing and shooting two men.

The three-judge appellate panel found that the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas failed to properly inform Anthony Cockroft of his post-release control obligations following his convictions for aggravated robbery, aggravated murder, attempted murder and tampering with evidence.
