Adjustments sought for land banks law

Years after stumping for a bill that established county land banks, Sen. Tom Patton, R-Strongsville, is pushing for the passage of a measure to adjust the state’s laws governing land reutilization programs and property tax foreclosures.

“This bill encompasses a series of amendments that are the direct result of four years of operational experience on the part of county land banks,” Patton said of Senate Bill 172 in sponsor testimony before the House Financial Institutions, Housing and Urban Development committee.
