Rep. Rex Damschroder is continuing his efforts to bring enhanced driver’s licenses to Ohio.

House Bill 346 would require the director of the Ohio Department of Public Safety to enter into an agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security or other designated federal agency in order to obtain approval to issue EDLs, enhanced commercial driver’s licenses and enhanced identification cards.

State-issued EDLs provide proof of identity and U.S. citizenship.
