Human trafficking survivors find solace, steady paycheck at Freedom a la Cart

When you take the elevator to the fifth floor of the downtown YMCA, you walk out to the musty smell of cardboard boxes and office desks long forgotten.

Plain white walls run the length of the small corridor and paths of chipping paint lead to equally plain, heavy white doors.

Step through one of those doors and you will find the offices of Freedom a la Cart.

No white paint here.

The walls are vibrant, every one different from the one beside it.
