Bill designed to increase dyslexia awareness

Armed with the stance that it’s the state’s constitutional responsibility to provide education for all of Ohio’s youth, Rep. Andrew Brenner wants October to be designated as Dyslexia Awareness Month.

House Bill 97, jointly sponsored by Brenner, R-Powell, and Rep. Tom Letson, D-Warren, had its second hearing before the Senate Education committee Wednesday.

The bill was passed by the House in June.
