The Eighth District Court of Appeals recently reversed and vacated a Cuyahoga County man’s conviction for burglary.

In 2012, Lonnie McCoy was charged with one count of burglary with a repeat violent offender specification and a notice of prior conviction.

The charges stemmed from an incident that took place in Maple Heights on May 5, 2012.

On that day, Helen Panek testified she was 88 years old, hard of hearing and was mowing her lawn.
