Plan would reduce number of absent voting days

While the sponsor of a bill to decrease early voting days has said the current system opens the chances for voter fraud, a Fair Elections Ohio official has denounced House Bill 250 as a reintroduction of a flawed plan.

Like repealed provisions of House Bill 194 from the last legislature, HB 250, sponsored by Rep. John Becker, R-Union Township, would reduce the length of time for absent voting from 35 days before an election to 17.
