More transparency for state's legal costs proposed

A new bill introduced into the Ohio General Assembly this week would establish the Transparency in Private Attorney Contracts Act.

“The aim of the TiPAC legislation is to provide more transparency for taxpayers so they can understand how and why the state is spending money for legal matters,” said Rep. James Butler, R-Dayton.
