Bill updates state’s regulatory insurance laws

A Columbus lawmaker has introduced a bill into the legislature that would update Ohio’s regulatory insurance laws.

The proposed legislation, Senate Bill 140, is sponsored by Sen. Kevin Bacon and features five components: investment code reform, reinsurance reform, holding company reform, the enactment of an own risk and solvency assessments law and the electronic delivery of documents.
