A new measure designed to help successful college students who don’t have the financial resources to complete their education has landed in the Ohio House.

House Bill 209 would establish a grant-based program, known as the Finish Fund, to aid eligible students nearing completion of a bachelor’s degree program.

The bill is sponsored by Rep. Dan Ramos, D-Lorain.

In a statement, Ramos said he introduced the bill to help bolster college completion rates across Ohio.
