A bill described as a win for law enforcement, public safety, firearms collectors, sportsmen and taxpayers would require the sale of all unclaimed or forfeited firearms and dangerous ordnance in the possession of a law enforcement agency that are legal for possession to federally-licensed firearms dealers.

Rep. John Becker, the sponsor of House Bill 210, recently offered testimony for the bill before the House Transportation, Public Safety and Homeland Security Committee.

“Firearms are property,” said Becker, R-Cincinnati.
