Judges affirm murder conviction for Columbus man who fired shots into crowd

The 10th District Court of Appeals recently affirmed a man’s convictions for murder and attempted murder after evidence showed he fired a gun multiple times into a crowd of people in front of his home, killing one person and injuring another.

The three-judge appellate panel rejected Dawntwai Hubbard’s claims that his convictions were against the manifest weight and sufficiency of the evidence and found that the trial court gave all of the proper jury instructions.
