Mortgage subrogation proposal designed to increase compliance

With regard to mortgage subrogation, Rep. James Butler said the current statutory scheme has not provided sufficient incentives for lenders to comply with their obligations because the damages and remedies are inadequate.

House Bill 201 has been crafted to change that.
