Court: Least severe sanctions appropriate will be imposed for state's discovery violation

The Supreme Court of Ohio recently ruled that when the state violates the rules of discovery, the least severe sanction that is appropriate for the case must be imposed.

In the 6-1 opinion, the majority held that case law stating that the least severe sanctions are to be imposed for discovery rule violations also applies to violations committed by the prosecution.
