A Senate bill that would regulate dog breeding kennels has been amended to include an application fee structure for high-volume breeders.

Senate Bill 130, sponsored by Sen. Jim Hughes, R-Columbus, calls for a $150 license application fee for breeders who annually sell at least nine, but no more than 15 litters.

The fee would be $250 for those who sell between 16-25 litters, $350 for annual sales between 26-35 litters, $500 for those who sell between 36-45 litters and $750 for annually selling 46 or more litters.
