Ohio Supreme Court upholds Revised Code's bifurcation section as constitutional

In a 5-2 majority opinion, the Ohio Supreme Court recently upheld as constitutional a section of the Revised Code reformed in 2005 to require state courts hearing tort lawsuits to, upon request, separate trials into two stages for compensatory and punitive damages claims.
