A Grove City lawmaker is pushing a bill that would require health care entities to provide notice to a patient if his or her physician’s employment is terminated.

“House Bill 417 addresses this inconsistency between law, rule and physicians’ oath by requiring patient notification, either by the remaining employer health care entity, or the health care entity can require the physician to provide notice,” said Rep. Cheryl Grossman.

“Either way, the patient gets notice.”
