10th District: Juror sharing notes photocopied at home did not create an unfair trial

A 10th District Court of Appeals panel this week rejected a woman’s arguments that she was unfairly prejudiced when a juror in her trial provided photocopied notes brought from his home and distributed them to his fellow jurors.

The three-judge panel affirmed the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas judgment and ruled that Lesley Shupe was given a fair trial in her case against Media Distributors LLC for workers’ compensation benefits.
