Notice of Proposed Changes:
Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Division of Domestic Relations and Juvenile Branch Local Rules 4, 37.1 and 37.2
The Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Division of Domestic Relations and Juvenile Branch, has made changes to three local rules. The rules are JU Local Rule 4, JU Local Rule 37.1, and JU Local Rule 37.2. These rules are effective immediately and are open for comment simultaneously (pursuant to Sup. Ct. Rule of Superintendence 5(A)(2)).
Rule 37 has been renumbered and split into two rules to address the two Franklin County Recovery Courts—37.1 Family Recovery Court and 37.2 Juvenile Recovery Court. Rule 37.1 (previously Rule 37) has been changed so that all references to “Drug Court” now refer to “Recovery Court.” No other changes have been made.
Rule 37.2 is new in its entirety and has been adopted for our new Juvenile Recovery Court.
Rule 4 has been modified to split List 7 attorneys (Family Drug Court Appointed Counsel) into a list for those attorneys that can receive appointments for Family Recovery Court cases (List 7a), and a list for those attorneys that can receive appointments for Juvenile Recovery Court cases (List 7b). Additionally, Rule 4 has been changed so that all references to “Drug Court” now refer to “Recovery Court.” There were also some minor numbering corrections in the rule.
All the rules are available for review on the Court’s website. https://drj.fccourts.org/DRJ.aspx?PN=Proposed_Amendments.htm
