New report claims IT worker shortage in Central Ohio

A new report shows that most Central Ohio chief information officers believe there is a shortage of workers with currently required technical skills. The report also noted that once new IT workers are hired, they need training in “soft skills.”

In the report, “The Skills Gap in Central Ohio IT Talent: Assessment, Opportunity and Recommendations,” 88 percent of CIOs said it was difficult finding workers with the technical skills needed for a job.
